A copper alloy sheet metal harness mount hammered. The mount is oval with two integral suspension loops at one side which have circular holes in the centre. On the opposite side are breaks for a pair of opposing loops, now missing. A central hole has been pierced through the main plate. On the lower edge are two stubs for a missing hooked and split suspension loop.The front of the plate is decorated with cross hatched incised pairs of diagonal lines forming lozengiform sections (a fret). These are alternately filled with stamped annulets. There are traces of gilding on the front face. and the upper surface is gilded, including around the suspension loops. The rear is flat and undecorated.
