Copper-alloy and gilt medieval annular brooch, missing its pin, dating to c. AD 1200 - 1400. The brooch takes the form of a circular-sectioned ring with a constriction for a pin. The surface of the object is worn and notched, although slight traces of gilding remain. Otherwise, the object has a patchy dark brown and green patina. The object is 20.15mm in diameter, 3.30mm in thickness and weighs 2.93g.

Similar examples can be seen in Egan and Pritchard (1991) Dress Accessories, pp. 248 - 249, where annular brooches are distinguished from single-loop circular buckles by the presence of a pin constriction, although it should be noted that this criterion may not apply in all cases.
