An incomplete copper alloy developed T-shaped hinged brooch dating to AD 1-200. The brooch comprises the remains of cylindrical wings and the stubs of the head loop. There is a slot in the centre on the reverse of the head to house the hinge. One wing is complete, the other is partially missing at the front face and completely broken away at the reverse. The bow is C-shaped in cross section, curved and tapers slightly with vertically incised ridges forming a V shape, it is decorated with a central raised oval recess or stud, filled with a turquoise enamel with a central boss of copper alloy. Below the oval recess are two incised lines forming a V, the apex slightly overlaps. A central, narrow row of horizontal ridges runs vertically below. The foot is missing but part of the catchplate survives at the reverse above which the bow is deeply hollowed. The pin is missing.
