A complete post-Medieval silver penny of Charles II (1660-1685). Initial mark on reverse: crown, 1660-1662. No inner circles, bust to edge of coin. North 1991: 210, 2775 NB. See Spink: 3319.

Obverse: CAROLVS II D G M B F & H REX; Crowned bust left with I (mark of value) behind head. Legend starts at 7 o' clock.

Reverse: CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO (I reign under the auspices of Christ); Square shield on cross fleury.

Diameter: 12.0mm. Weight: 0.46g. DA=12:6.
