A fragment of a Roman roof tile, possibly an imbrex, dating to AD 43- 410.

The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and is curved in cross-section. The surface and core are orange-red in colour. The tile has occasional white quartz inclusions, and is micacous.

The tile is 83.6mm in maximum length, 67 mm in maximum width, 18.5mm in thickness, and weighs 137.01g.
