Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, 17mm long, 15mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 2.40g.
The object is rectangular in form and cross section and has a cruciform central hole and cut away corners. Between the edge of the cruciform hole the outer edge there are rectangular recesses on one surface of three sides which would have accommodated small strap fittings, see NCL-CCD0F4.
