A complete copper alloy post medieval hooked tag or dress hook, dating to c. AD 1500-1550. The hooked tag is of Class E type 4, and is lozenge shaped. The edge of the lozenge is beaded, inside of this is a raised border. In the centre of the lozenge is a raised four petaled flower. A sharp hook projects from one of the corners of lozenge, there is a raised collar at the top of it. The hook descends straight then curves back on itself. The hook has been distorted out of shape slightly. At the opposite edge there is a rectangular attachment loop. The hooked tag measures 37.1mm in length, 18.5mm in width, and weighs 2.10g.
Similar hooked tags can be seen in Read 2008 page 107 and 108.
