A medieval silver half groot of Jan III of Brabant (1312-1355), minted at Leuven, dating from 1330-1337.

It is 18.1mm in diameter, 0.7mm thick and weighs 1.31g.


This coin was found on the supposed route of the retreat after the Battle of Fenny Bridges (1549) which involved a large number of continental mercenaries.
