A cast lead spindle whorl of medieval date, The whorl is circular in plan with a concave top and a flat bottom face and slightly sloping sides, and is light grey in colour. It is undecorated. It measures 21.5 to 23.7mm in diameter, is 10.4mm thick and has a slightly tapered central aperture of 9.0 - 10.5mm diameter. It weighs 28.0g. The whorl conforms to Walton Rogers form B, dating to 900-1100.
