An uniface, post-medieval lead-alloy token dating from AD 1500-1700 (Powell type 12). The obverse depicts a cross with a double lined chevron in each quarter, following the arms of the cross. There is also a short line from the edge of the token to the angle of the chevron in each quarter. The edge is damaged in several places. On the reverse is a single raised line, at an acute angle to the edge, and less than half the diameter of the token. The token is 28.7mm in diameter, 2.3mm thick and weighing 5.54g. The patina is orangey brown. A similar token can be seen in Edward Fletcher, Leaden Tokens & Tallies (2005), p.102, type 12 and compare WILT-5704C6, DEV-4F3D6E and SOM-2F92EB.
