A cast copper-alloy Roman brooch, possibly 1st century AD decorated with incised or indented geometric designs. The catchplate, pin and the hinge are now missing. It is similar in style to the 'dolphin' class but has a flattened end, as opposed to the smooth curve more typical of the type. This flattened area is decorated with a raised triangle that is met on its right side by an arrow shaped indentation. The spine of the stem is decorated with two indented linear areas, each of which contains a geometric zigzag that meet slightly below the head and continue as one down the stem. There is no surviving evidence of any enamelling.
