A fragment of copper-alloy vessel, probably dating from 1400-1800.
The fragment represents part of the rim of a vessel, with a very thin wall terminating in a slightly rounded top tapering to the rim. It is roughly triangular in plan. The curve of the fragment is very shallow, suggesting that the fragment is from a relatively large vessel.
The outer surface is rough; it is possible the vessel is unfinished or that the vessel was heated enough to cause the lead to leach out of the surface. The internal surface is noticeably smoother.
The inside is heavily patinated dark green. The outside and broken edges are rough and a sandy colour mottled with black.
