A copper alloy Roman bow brooch fragment that consists of the upper half of the brooch. The brooch has Tubular wings hold the pin axis bar; there is a slot in the centre of the wings at the rear for the pin which is still retained although only the top half survives. There is a loop at the top of the undecorated and an expanded lozenge shaped flat panel at the apex of the bow. The panel is decorated with a series of transverse cells, these cells may have been filled with a substance, most likely enamel, but the item has ben coated in wax preventing a confident identification. The broch was original coated in a white metal.
