Gold coin. Half ryal of Edward IV (1461-1470) light coinage of 1464-1470, York mint, as kindly identified by the finder, Spink no. 1963.

Obverse description: Facing king with shield of Arms of England and France in rigged cog, standard charged with E to left.

Obverse inscription: [ED]WARD'*DI'GRA REX ANGLIE, *=trefoil punctuation

Reverse description: Central sunburst in cross with lis at end of each arm and with a crowned lion in each angle within a tressure of eight arches with a trefoil on each external cusp, within a pelleted outer circle.

Reverse inscription: DOMINE*DE*IN*EDAORE*TVO*[---]
