An copper alloy openwork strap fitting. The fitting is an elongated triangular shape with a fleur de lis terminal at the apex. There are circular apertures through the side elements of the lis. Below the apex is a chevron shaped aperture pointing upwards. Towards the base is a large circular aperture. At the base is a rectangular lobe. The plate is slightly convex on the front. At either end on the flat rear of the mount are two small integral attachment spikes, both are bent outwards towards their respective ends.

There are many similar examples recorded on the database, including SOM-C2E591. Similar fittings can be seen on p.35 of Read's 'Metal Artefacts of Antiquities' (2001), particularly no's:300-302
