AC Late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy Langton Down brooch, AD 25 -60.

The brooch has a circular cross sectioned hollow 'head plate' which houses a spring of four coils and a partial pin. The bow is rectangular in form and cross section and is flat and missing its base. It is decorated with a series of ridges. Its reverse houses the scars of an open catch-plate which take up half of the bows length.

It is 41mm long, 17mm wide and 10mm thick with a weight of 4.13g.
