A fragment of a ceramic vessel probably of Roman date, c.AD 43-410. The fragment is a body fragment and the fabric is light grey in colour on its surfaces and at its core. Abundant fine inclusions are present throughout the fragment and the outer surfaces have a coarse texture. The fragment is unglazed and undecorated. The fragment is sub-rectangular in shape, with worn breaks forming all edges, and has a rectangular cross-section.

The fragment is 36.2mm long, 22.8mm wide, 7.8mm thick, and weighs 7.9g.
