Silver Roman denarius of Elagabalus, dating to 218 - 222 AD. Mint of Rome. Obverse of right-facing laureate, horned and draped bust: IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG. Reverse of Elagabalus in priestly robes, standing left, sacrificing with patera over altar to left, holding branch; to left, a star: SVMMVS SA-CERDOS AVG. The coin is 18.60mm in diameter, 2.23mm in thickness and weighs 1.83g.
