A modern silver thimble with closed domed top. The thimble is decorated with three bands of machine-made flower motifs. The base of the thimble is decorated with the stamped number 15, followed by a rectangular band containing the letters HC & S Ltd. To the right of this is a sub-rectangular stamp containing a lion, a shield-shaped stamp containing three objects, and finally a square stamp containing the letter G. The thimble was made in Chester in 1870.
