A Roman (1st to 4th centuries) copper-alloy pin: The head of the pin is bulbous with a slightly flattened head and has a cordon underneath with a flat base where the shaft of the pin protrudes. The shaft is circular in section and tapers to a broken point, which is not recent.

The pin has a light green patina.

It measures 8.39mm long 8.15mm diameter and weighs 1.65g.

The pin is probably Roman and fits into Cool's classification as Group 2 type which is found throughout the Roman period.
