Unique ID: DUR-D6B83C

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A complete copper alloy sestertius of the Roman period of an unknown ruler (AD 43-410).

One face of the coin, is very corroded and heavily coated with rust coloured encrustation. The other face is also corroded, though less encrusted. It also has some small, grey-green patches of colour.

Due to the very poor condition of the coin, it is not possible to see any markings to enable a positive identification of either the ruler or reverse type.
