Worn and damaged copper alloy Medieval sterling bust type English jetton. As is common for the type there is a circular piercing in the centre of the long cross. Obverse; crowned bust, legend illegible. Reverse; long cross with six pellet cluster in each quadrant, probable symbols in legend. Similar jettons can be seen in Mitchiner, M. Jettons, Medalets and Tokens, The Medieval Period and Nuremberg, Vol.1 (1998) p100. Circa AD1321-1343.
