Medieval copper alloy tongue-shaped strap end composed of two sheets secured by two rivets, one at the straight attachment edge and the other above a trefoil knop at the outside edge. The upper half of the front sheet is engraved over the full width with an asymmetrical saltire in rocker-arm. Length and width 39.5 and 10.2mm. 14th century.
