Copper alloy post medieval rotary key, possibly for a casket, dating AD 1500-1700, or possibly later. The key has a kidney-shaped bow and a solid shaft. Only part of the bit survives. The surface of the key is pitted but appears to have traces of a black coating. For similar example on the database see NLM_4C6345
