Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, 23mm long, 15mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 4.88g.
The brooch is in poor condition and incomplete. It has narrow rectangular shaped and cross sectioned wings which house a hinged pin recess (pin now missing) and sit behind a rectangular cross sectioned bow. This has a raised circular motif at its shoulder just above a sharp turn in the bow, which is missing its base.
