Lead alloy possible ampulla fragment. A fragment from the bag-shaped body of an ampulla, with moulded petals on one side. Patinated, torn and abraded. This might have been opened and deposited as a quasi-magical operation to improve a failing soil, but has presumably suffered further adventitious damage post-deposition. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500
