Roman copper alloy bow brooch. 34mm in length, 17mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 4.35grams.
The brooch has a narrow rectangular shaped wings sitting over a large spring, now corroded, which is attached by a loop to the wings. It has a sub circular cross sectioned bow which tapers to a point. It is plain and is missing the pin and catch plate. The brooch could be a late Iron Age type or a plain early Roman type.
