A copper alloy fragment of a Roman brooch, 38.7mm in length, comprising the foot, catchplate and portion of the bow. The catchplate is openwork with a stepped and recessed border; the bow is undecorated, has a flattened plano convex cross sectional profile and is 4.5mm in width. Circa 1st century AD.
