An incomplete cast copper-alloy bow brooch dating to the Middle Iron Age, c. 400-200 BC. The pin and two coils of the four coil spring is missing due to an old break. The brooch has a flat sectioned bow with prominent outward curve at the head of the bow and prominent inward curve towards the foot. Down the centre of the brooch is a raised rib. The foot is reverted to abut the base of the bow and terminates in an oval knop; the catchplate is formed by a widening of the return of the foot. See Hattatt (2000; 2007; fig. 147, no. 725) for a similar example. Also BERK-FE4291 and GLO-6EFDAC on this database. Class: La Tène I.
