A complete copper alloy medieval sexfoil mount with a central dome, dating to the period c. AD 1270-1450. The mount has been cast and trimmed to loose shape. Two rivet holes are present, placed in opposite lobes, no rivets surviving. Diameter: 15.42mm, thickness: 0.71mm, height: 4.69mm, weight: 0.62g
Similar to no. 959 and 961 in Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories, page 187 &189.
