Incomplete copper-alloy hooked tag, probably a book clasp of medieval date (c. 1350 - 1500 AD). The object has a flat triangular body with two integral lugs at one end; the other end tapers to a blunt point which is now bent backwards and probably would have terminated in a hook. The lugs are formed from the copper-alloy sheet being curved back on itself. The object has a patchy brown and green patina. It is 26.7mm in length, 17.2mm in width and 0.3mm in thickness. It weighs 2g.
