An incomplete copper alloy late medieval purse frame, dating AD 1450-1550. A Ward Perkins Type A2, the frame consists of a curved bar, which is L-shaped in profile with a broken loop at one end and hole at the other (top flat side) for attaching it to a bar. On the front of the bar is an inscription in incised linear decoration, inlaid with niello: [...]M DECV(M).

Length: 52.0mm, width: 8.50mm, thickness: 2.40mm, weight: 6.85g.
