A complete flint Notched Scraper of Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithic is sub-ovate in plan and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains two predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. The proximal end forms a point and has a semi-circular notch along the left hand edge. The left and right hand edges has fine semi-abrupt retouch. The proximal end has been abruptly blunted. The ventral surface is convex and retains a small bulb of percussion along the left hand edge, on which two negative scars are situated. There are shallow ripples of percussion emanating from the left hand edge. The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake.
The flint is dark grey in colour with some light grey inclusions.
