Copper alloy vessel fragment. Cast cauldron leg, broader at one end, probably its flat-based foot, with a low central ridge and a flat back, and broken raggedly at its narrower upper end. The foot is chipped. Black traces of sooting extend over the surface and over the broken foot, showing this damaged vessel continued in use on the hearth. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500
