Small medieval copper alloy mount or stud from a belt or strap, comprising a rectangular head with two shallow longitudinal flutes on the gilt front face and an integral, oval-sectioned shank on the reverse. Head length, width and thickness 10, 8.5 and 1.5mm. Length of (bent) shank c.7mm. Mid 12th - 14th century.
