A flint probable Mousterian point of Middle Palaeolithic date (c. 150,000 - 40,000 BC). The object is made flint with a mottled light grey and cream coloured opaque patina covering the entire surface of the object. There are small patches of re-cortication on the surface. It is a tertiary flake with no sign of the original cortex remaining and is roughly triangular in plan and plano-convex in cross-section, with a pointed distal end. A small striking platform is evident at the proximal end. This is not centrally placed, but offset to one side. A bulb of percussion extends from this platform on the ventral surface. There is retouch along both mesal edges on the dorsal face. The retouch is short to invasive, stepped or scaled retouch which is short in extent, and abrupt to semi-abrupt in angle. There is evidence of probable slight damage at the proximal end, although the patina is the same as the rest of the object, indicating that either the patina is very thick or the damage was caused a very long time ago.

The implement measures 82.1mm in length, 51.5mm in width and has a maximum thickness of 11.6mm. It weighs 41.2g.
