A complete coin weight dating to the reign of Queen Anne (AD 1702 - AD 1717). The coin weight is copper alloy, and is slightly worn. The front face has a raised circumferential ridge. The front face has three engravings; an 'A' underneath a crown, a ewer, and a sword. The coin weight weighs 12.64 grams/0.45 ounces. The surface of the front has been dented and scratched, which may have affected the weight.. The reverse face is flat, and has also been scratched. There is a notable dent on the side.
Notes:
The 'A' underneath a crown dates the coin weight to Queen Anne's reign. The ewer is the London founders' trademark. The sword represents the Sword of St. Paul, and is the City of London Guildhall mark.
This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
