An incomplete copper alloy hinged developed T-shaped brooch dating to AD 50 -150. The surviving section comprises the head, wings and upper bow. At the head cylindrical wings survive, retaining a copper alloy axis bar. In the centre of the wings is the head with a complete integral headloop, this is a small circular aperture in the centre of a sub-rectangular tab of copper alloy. At the reverse of the head is the slot cut into the centre to accommodate a hinged pin. The bow is rectangular (flat) in section and projects from the head, it terminates in a break. In the centre of the surviving bow is a raised oval decoration consisting of a transverse oval with diagonallly incised grooves forming eight raised lozenges. Below is a vertically incised groove. The reverse of the bow is slightly concave. The pin is missing
