An incomplete copper-alloy Roman 'propeller' belt stiffener, dating to AD 300-410. It consists of a plate with a central circular section, which is flanked by two opposite trapezoidal elements; in this case only one of these two elements survives. The front face of the circular section is decorated with two concentric grooves and a central circular hole. The grooves might have traces of enamel. The surviving trapezoidal end has the edges bevelled and a circular hole close to outer edge. This end is incomplete itself and has the surviving outer corner extended in a rounded knop. The back face of the plate is undecorated.
