A blank silver disc, likely originally a silver Sixpence of Charles II to William III (AD 1660-1702). The coin has been intentionally worn smooth and bent twice at some point in the 18th century.

Notes:

Twice bent coins are known to have been carried as a protection against the 'evil eye' or witchcraft (hence the crooked sixpence of the nursery rhyme). Other lucky pocket pieces might be bent to distinguish them from normal coins and prevent inadvertent spending. Sometimes a coin was bent back and forth until it broke and the two halves carried as love tokens.
