An incomplete copper alloy button dated to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1700). The remains of the object consist of the domed head with lateral rim. The reverse of the head is flat and the remains of the integral rectangular-sectioned shank are present on the base. The button is undecorated. The object has a patchy, dark green patina.

A similar example can be seen in Read (2005: 70) no. 279.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 12.49mm in diameter, 7.8mm in thickness and 2.19g in weight.
