Six Roman ceramic sherds from greyware vessels, dating to c. AD 43 - 410. Five are body sherds, one is the slightly flaring everted rim of a closed vessel with a rolled outer edge. All are relatively high fired with abundent poorly sorted sand temper. Much of the temper is medium sized, patinated quartz up to 1.5mm with occasional pieces up to 2mm and some smaller pieces. occasional rounded ironstone up to 1.5mm becoming common in some sherds.Not visibly micaceaous.
All are too small to estimate the diameter or the exact form. All are abraded, some highly. Total weight: 29.23g.
