A heavily worn rim sherd of a wheel thrown Iron Age vessel, possibly late Iron Age gallo-belgic bowl.

Description: The sherd is a rim sherd and irregularly shaped in plan. The fabric is well fired and hard has an un oxidised outer surface (dark black) and unevenly oxidised core (mid grey-brown) and unoxdised inner surface. The outer surface shows some evidence of burnishing. The rim is small and slightly flared it has a long neck and short shoulders. The inclusions are a mix of irregularly sorted small rounded flints, small - medium rounded grog and some sparse well sorted black sandy grit. The breaks are angular and some striations are visible indicaiting its production via wheel throwing.

Measurements: 93.07mm long, 77.43mm high, 9.03mm thic (including rim 6.25mm) and 74.55g in weight.
