A heavily worn sherd of wheel thrown late Iron Age to early Roman ceramic vessel.
Description: The sherd is a body sher and roughly recatangular in plan. The fabric has an oxidised outer surface, unevenly oxidised core and unoxidised inner surface. The inclusions are a mix of common well sorted small-to large mixed grog, medium coomnon mixed rounded flints and some common well sorted black sandy grit. Many inclusions have fallen out. The breaks are well angular and some striations are visible indicaiting its production via wheel throwing.
Measurements: 60.27mm long, 51.54mm high, 9.06mm thick and 43.91g in weight.
