A cast solid circular lead weight with convex sides and flat upper and lower surfaces, white patinated overall. It is 33.2mm in diameter and 7.0mm thick, and weighs 51.1gms. The mass may suggest this represents two ounces in either the averdepois or mercantile systems of measurement, and round weights of this approximate value appear amongst finds from the London waterfront (Egan 1998, tables 14 and 15). Suggested date for this object would be medieval to post-medieval, c.1300-1600.
