A heavily worn sherd of handmade probable Iron Age to early Romano-British ceramic vessel.
Description: The sherd is a body sherd and irregularly shaped. The fabric has an unoxidised outer surface and unevenly oxidised inner surface has been abraded leaving the grey core exposed, leaving the outer face dark grey and inner lighter.. The inclusion are common and a mix of well sorted small rounded to subround sandy grit and poorly sorted larger sub-angular. The breaks are well rounded have likely been worn by rolling action of water.
Measurements: 68.65mm wide, 48.86mm high, 12.03mm thick and 39.64g in weight.
