Late Medieval or early post Medieval lead alloy button, 1400-1700. diameter: 27 mm, thickness 19mm, weight: 25.57 g.
The button is circular in form with a D shaped cross section. Its domed upper surface is decorated with a voided raised cross and a central semi-spherical boss. Each quarter has two raised arches. It has traces of iron loop in the centre of its underside.
The button is similar BUC-415532 but without lead loop. The lack of parallels for an iron loop would suggest this is a repair.
