A very base or plated gold uninscribed Iron Age stater of the Western Region / East Wiltshire, dating to the period c.50-20 BC, probably 'Savernake Forest' type. Obverse: Plain. Reverse: Horse right with pellet mane, spiral above, large wheel below, various pellets around. As ABC, p. 107, no. 2091; BMC nos. 361-364. This coin is struck on a quite base flan, the reverse appearing to be double struck with the type visible at approximately 12 and 4 o'clock.
