AD 1000-1100. The mount consists of a sub-triangular plate, cast in low relief, with an elongated zoomorphic terminal at the apex, viewed from above and looking up, with long lentoid ears. This surmounts two further animals, their backs forming the lateral edges of the mount, their hind legs extending backwards, converging behind the zoomorphic terminal. The heads of these latter animals project downwards from either side of the base. A right angled flange projects from the reverse of the plate. The plate is perforated three times, once at the base of the apex terminal, and twice above the flange, all retain traces of an iron rivet in situ.
Length 45.1mm; width 25.5mm; thickness 7.5mm; weight 19.73g.
