A Post-Medieval silver coin: a threepence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - 1603), second issue (AD 1561 - 1582), initial mark coronet (AD 1567 - 1570), dated AD 1569. For reference, see North, 2006, volume 2, page 135, number 1998. The coin has a small chip missing from the edge. It is 19.7mm diameter, 0.6mm thick and 1.5g.
